Although following an unseasonal rainfall mid-February, grapes were harvested during a period of traditionally high temperatures and humidity. The unusual conditions provided magnificent fruits with a lower acidity, yet maintaining a natural finish. At harvest the grapes tested at 24.7% sugar; at a pH of 3.94 and TA of 4.00.

The fruit bunches were gathered and held overnight to reduce berry temperatures prior to the natural fermentation. Following destalking, very strict berry selection ensured that only the finest quality grapes were ultimately chosen. Organic principles are a dominant policy in each process of making wine at Nwanedi Estate.

The entire fermentation was done in wood and the final dry wine matured for eleven months in first fill French oak.

At bottling the wine indicated beautiful vanilla flavours, typical of an excellent classical Shiraz. Since then a myriad of flavours has emerged providing the mystical intrigue of its ultimate potential and fulfilling an accolade worthy of a perfect celebration.
