The Nwanedi estate is situated between Paarl and Wellington in the heart of the winelands. It boasts 31h of vines, fruit trees, a winery, 11 luxury room manor house, a beautiful swimming pool, a dam and beautiful uninterrupted views.
The estate got its name Nwanedi (pronounced one-eddie) from the romantic memories of owners Gavin and Jean’s wedding location. Their love for nature, passion for wine and need to keep active in their retirement, led to the conversion from derelict site to this magnificent piece of heaven, over the last 20 years. The most highly regarded professionals assisted in realising quality grapes, initially sold to other farms, and since made into Nwanedi’s own wines.
With a life-threatening passion for trains, yes trains, whether model, garden or prototypical steam trains, Gavin is focusing on realising the next part of his retirement – (The property was (actually) purchased solely with the intention of retirement and building a model steam railway). There will be a 2 phase development of models trains, the first phase will be specially built in the manor house and cover 40m².
The second phase is in plan to cover a greater area and will boast the largest private collection of miniature trains and continue an amazing legacy.
